Terms of service

Baidya ID is a place to keep and read the medical reports that hospitals and laboratories issue to you. We carry those documents; we do not create them, check them or interpret them.

Baidya ID is not medical advice and not a medical device. Nothing in the app diagnoses, treats or monitors any condition. Always act on what your doctor tells you, not on what you read here, and never delay care because a report has not appeared yet.

Your account is your phone number, and whoever can receive codes on that number can reach your reports. Keep the number and the handset secure, and tell us at once if you lose control of either.

If you give up a number and it is reassigned to somebody else, contact us so that we can close the account. We cannot know on our own that a number has changed hands.

Use the service only for your own records, or for those of someone in your care.

The institution that uploaded a report is responsible for what it says. If something is wrong, missing or belongs to someone else, take it up with that institution, and tell us at support@baidyaid.com so that we can help.

An institution may withdraw a report it uploaded by mistake within 24 hours. After that window it stays on your record.

• Do not try to reach an account or a report that is not yours.
• Do not probe, overload or interfere with the service or its security.
• Do not upload anything unlawful through an institution account.

We may suspend an account that does these things, and will cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

Baidya ID is free for patients and free for the hospitals and laboratories that upload reports. We do not charge either side today, and if that ever changes for facilities we will tell them well in advance. Patients will not be charged for reaching their own records.

We work to keep Baidya ID running, but we do not promise it will be available at every moment. Maintenance, network failures and events beyond our control can interrupt it. Keep a copy of any report you may urgently need — the app lets you download every one of them.

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from the content of a report, from a delay in a report appearing, or from an interruption to the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You can stop using Baidya ID at any time and ask us to delete your data through Delete your Baidya ID account. We may end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why where we can.

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and the courts of Kathmandu have jurisdiction. Questions go to support@baidyaid.com.
